Business Objects is a database reporting tool. It allows you to prepare custom or ad hoc reports from a number of databases using a Business Objects Universe, to facilitate advanced reporting and data analysis.

Advanced Reporters are identified as those Business Objects users within an organisation who have full access to the Business Objects Universes, and who need to build queries using advanced report-writing techniques for in-depth analysis of business information. Report Writers also create flexible reports for use by “Explorers” – Business Objects users who don’t have access to the universes and so are unable to build queries, but are able to open documents created by others and manipulate, analyse and present the data in a variety of ways.

Delegates attending this course will be assumed to be familiar with the contents of the Introductory Course, or to have completed other training that establishes similar competencies – such as the Business Objects online “Personal Trainer”  module.
